Domain Transfer Policy
Your domain name is your corporate identity online. It is important to keep that identity safe. For this reason, the following policy has been put in place.*
- Customer domains registered through OpenSRS are automatically set to "locked" status.
- The locked status will not allow anyone to unlock the domain without either having the username and password used when the site was registered or transferred to us, or by notifying Indiana Data Center via fax that the domain name needs to be unlocked.
- If the customer needs to have the Indiana Data Center unlock a domain name, please, fill out this form and fax it to 260-407-7475, Attn: Hostmaster.
- If the customer has the username and password to their domain name, they can unlock their domain name themselves. Click here to log in and unlock your domain name.
- Without unlocking your domain name, you WILL NOT be able to update DNS (Domain Name Service) Servers or transfer your domain name to a different reseller or registrant company.
Your domain being registered with Indiana Data Center (through OpenSRS) constitutes your understanding and agreement with this policy.
*All information contained in this policy is applicable to domains using Indiana Data Center as the reseller through OpenSRS, as the registrar company. A large portion of web sites the Data Center hosts are registered in this way. To find out if your domain qualifies, click here.
